Who am I?
My name is Céline, I'm 30 years old and I've been living in Brussels for 10 years now, so much so that I've become French-Belgian! Indeed, studies, work and love made me stay there for a while...

I arrived in Belgium in 2013 for my Master's degree in Criminology, then I worked for 7 years in the fields of foreigners' law and asylum law before creating this blog. At the same time, in 2022, I married my roommate, Maxime, who is of French-German nationality.

Before explaining the why and how of this blog, here are 3 things you should know about me: I am a fan of flan pâtissier, I love reading biographies, especially at night, and I have a phobia of flying (to my great misfortune, but the passion of travel always wins)!

The why and how of this blog?
This blog was born from my will to become independent by dedicating myself to a personal project focused on sharing what matters most to me: the beautiful experiences of life (wedding, travel, gastronomy, among others) and, above all, how to organize them yourself in the smallest details, ideal when you are a perfectionist and control freak like me ;-) I had the chance to be educated to pretty things, which made me both curious and demanding in my life experiences that I wish to share here. Besides, as a very shy person, writing to talk about it is much more natural for me than speaking!

To finish the introductions, you are probably wondering where the name of this blog comes from: Solara? When I was a young teenager in the 2000s and I was looking for the famous MSN nickname, the nickname Solara came to me spontaneously and I thought I had created this word. Well, after a few Google searches, I quickly realized that Solara also referred to a Simca car model, the name of a planet in Star Wars and many other companies... But, whatever, this nickname has always stayed with me, hence the obviousness for me to use it as the title of my blog!
